On a night like this, anything can happen.
In a place like this, it probably will.
The Vaudeville Cabaret Club is a vibrant cabaret-style showcase, mixing circus, theatre, burlesque, comedy, poetry, performance art, dance, mixed media, music and experiences of mind-bending weirdness. Located in Edinburgh, we are Scotland's premier outlet for local performing arts talent, putting on monthly showcases throughout the year and a daily showcase during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The 2006 season features fabulous compere Mikelangelo, infamous baritone accordion-wielding adventurer of the Black Sea Gentlemen fame, alongside cunning circus stunts, tall theatrical tales, bizarre burlesque, laughter, music, magic and performers from across the globe in a Russian roulette of outrageous cabaret. Leave the ordinary world behind, come in costume or in disguise...and make sure to arrive early for a stage-side table at what promises to be this year's most eclectic and outrageous festival showcase.

In our last season, we welcomed over 100 acts to our stage, including The Burlesque Hour, Rob Newman, Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), Regina Spektor, Christa Hughes (Go Go Burlesco!), Empress Stah, Gawk-A-Go-Go, Joie de Vivre. Many of these special guests are set to return, alongside brand new discoveries, unseen treasures and delights.
Some of our returning favorites are: Orkestra del Sol (Balkan tunes, Carnival Classics, Gypsy Polkas, Calypsos and Waltzes), Dusty Limits (razor-tongued comedian and diva), No Fit State Circus (mayhem of our favourite kind), Luminescent Orchestrii (gypsy klezmer tango punk from New York City), Bipolar Explorer (fire, accordion and aerial), Duo Dancian (Scottish answer to the Caesar Twins), Ophelia Bitz (burlesque and fire), Pluck (classical music comedy), Sam Simmons (surreal comedy genuis), Luke Wright of Aisle 16 (performance poetry with attitude), Foxy Fantastic (australian kooky hooping and cuteness) and TONS more.
We're always looking for more fabulous artistes to throw into the nightly mayhem. If your burlesque/circus/magic/music act has our kind of spunk and fire, please drop us a line!
